International rugby football games to be held in Laguna

Another big sports event will be held in the Province of Laguna as Philippine Rugby Football Union (PRFU) Head Coach Matt Cullen confirmed the conduct of the PRFU International Football Games at the Laguna Sport Complex from August 18 to 20, 2011.

Coach Cullen informed Provincial Sports and Games Development Office (PSGDO) Head Albert Abarquez about PRFU's plan in holding the said event in the Sports Complex. One major reason that Coach Cullen identified in his conversation with Mr. Abarquez is that the Sports Complex has “outstanding football fields that can venue international football competitions.”

Sports Tourism is one of the major advocacies of Laguna Governor Jeorge “E.R.” Ejercito Estregan for Laguna. Hosting such sports events shall give the province the opportunity to attract more tourists and showcase the premier tourist destinations in Laguna.
